Jesus often took time for children. He even involved children in His ministry. (Remember whose lunch He used when He fed the 5,000?) Jesus taught us that children are important to society. As Christ followers, should realize that it is our responsibility to care for the children God puts in our path.
There are many children who are in the Foster Care system and need good Christian homes. We understand that not everyone feels the calling to this ministry, but we should all search our hearts to see if God might want us to help a child in need.
Foster Care and Adoption are not as difficult as you might think. There are very basic rules and background checks that must be carried out in order to get started in this ministry. Adopting from the Foster Care system is not nearly as expensive as one might think, either!
